THE JUNO HONOR CODE

Purpose:

The purpose of the Juno Code is to cause our honor and sensitivity as adults and sexually aware teenagers to take full conscious and honest responsibility for our personal intimate behaviors and consequences.


1. I understand that I and I alone am 100% responsible for my personal intimate behaviors including my sexual choices.

2. I understand that I and I alone, and not my parents or guardians, have complete responsibility for the consequences of my personal intimate behaviors.

3. I understand if and when I choose to be sexually active my sexual behavior constitutes a formal conscious act of creating a personal intimate relationship with my partner.

4. I understand that I and I alone am 100% responsible to understand all of the facts and principles of the act of sex and all of its consequences.

5. I understand that if or when I choose to be sexually active my sexual behavior may cause conception or another being to be born, and this conception or being may or may not be healthy. Therefore, I understand that I am responsible for the processes of human conception and the resulting health care requirements of a conceived or born being. This responsibility spans from the time it is conceived until the time it is able to care for itself. If not able to do so, I agree to make all financial and moral arrangements to have it cared for appropriately and legally.


6. I understand that if and when I choose to be intimately active I may cause myself or my partner to contract a sexually transmitted disease, which could result in death.

7. I understand I am consciously offering my honor I have understood every word I read above.
